About Dr. Heba Azer – Specialist GP & Skin Cancer Physician
Dr. Heba Azer is a Specialist GP with a passion for skin health, and medical education. Her medical journey began in Egypt, where she graduated with honours from Ain Shams University, Cairo before moving to Australia in 2005 to continue her medical training. Over the past 18 years, she has provided high-quality healthcare in Wagga Wagga, earning her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
As Principal GP at KRS and co-founder of KRS Skin Cancer Clinic, Dr. Azer is dedicated to the early detection and treatment of skin cancer. She holds a Master’s degree in Skin Cancer from the University of Queensland, graduated with High Distinctions in 2020 and was awarded the Dean’s Commendation for Academic Excellence. She also holds advanced qualifications in Skin Cancer Medicine, Surgery, and Dermoscopy from the Skin Cancer College Australasia where she has been recognised as an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor.
As a dedicated medical educator and advocate for medical training, Dr Heba serves as Senior Lecturer and primary care course convenor at UNSW Rural Clinical Campus, where she mentors medical students. She also supervises GP registrars undertaking GP training. She is an examiner for the RACGP fellowship exams and holds an Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).
Beyond her professional commitments, Dr. Azer is a devoted wife and mother of three. She enjoys travelling, fitness, reading, gardening, and has recently taken up golf.
