It is expected that all accounts will be settled at the completion of the service.
Overdue accounts

Independent charging
Each doctor charges independently, taking into account the above guidelines and patient circumstances. Please see Fee Policy below.
Concession card holders (PNS, HCC, Commonwealth Seniors Card)
Some patients in this category may be direct-billed, at the discretion of the individual doctor, where a Government Medicare Subsidy applies. (a). Please see Fee Policy below.
Commonwealth funded enhanced care programs
Patients may be direct-billed, at the discretion of the individual doctor, for conditions like asthma, diabetes, mental health, immunisations etc.
Fee policy and other fee details
KRS Health fees are reasonable, assuring access, affordability, quality, professionalism and practice viability. Direct billing is only available for some surgery services supported by Government incentive programs, and in cases of genuine need, at the discretion of the individual doctor. Visits to nursing homes, hostels, and institutions and all DVA services are bulk-billed.
Discounts are available only in special circumstances.
Bulk Billing
This practice offers bulk billing for eligible patients in the following categories :
- (a) All children under 16 years of age – consultations
- (b) All Health Care Card and all Pension Card holders – consultations
- (c) Those receiving Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) services such as General Practice Management Plans (GPMPs), Team Care Arrangements (TCAs) , Mental
Health Care Plans (MHCPs), Health Assessments e.g. > 75 years, 45-49 year olds, all ATSIC clients, childhood immunisations, and most Practice
Nurse Bookings
To be eligible for bulk billing, we need to have your current Medicare Card number and expiry date, and we need to sight your current Pension or Healthcare Card and have the number and expiry date on our records.
*Exceptions:
Dr Saldevar generally will not bulk bill patients under categories (a) and (b) above by his own choice and preference. If requested the practice will offer an alternative doctor who does bulk bill categories (a) and (b) above. All other doctors have agreed to follow this general practice policy.
CANCELLATION fees for Allied Health: will be charged at the usual consultation rate, but NO Medicare rebate will be recieved for these. To avoid these fees, please always either come to your appointments, OR cancel or reschedule you appointment at least 24hrs prior to your appointment.
Private fees will be charged for all non-concession card holders for all other services :
- Private consultations
- All operations and procedures
- All dressings and consumables (cost price)
Note that consultations to nurses for dressings will be charged and small fee of $10 for the consultation, and $10 for the dressings. Not able for Medicare rebate.
Due to continuing problems with arrears in Workers Compensation cases, up front payments are expected, until claim numbers are approved. You can then seek reimbursement from your insurance company.
